Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly - Mazda (PE03-15-980C)
2012-2025 Mazda - pe0315980c
Genuine Mazda Drive belt tensioner
Genuine OE Mazda Part# PE03-15-980C
The drive belt tensioner on a Mazda CX9 is a device that maintains proper tension on the serpentine belt, also known as the drive belt. It is located on the front of the engine and is typically made of a spring-loaded arm and a pulley. The tensioner helps keep the serpentine belt tight, which is important for ensuring that the accessories powered by the belt, such as the alternator and air conditioning compressor, are able to operate properly. If the tensioner is not working properly, it can cause the serpentine belt to slip or break, which can lead to serious issues with your vehicle. If you suspect that your drive belt tensioner is failing, it's important to have it checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible. They will be able to diagnose the problem and determine the best course of action to fix it.
